Guerilla Art

This metal sculpture by an anonymous artist appeared recently on what looks like a rock, but is actually a rusted heap of metal scraps from the former site of a plant which produced cans for a salmon cannery (also defunct). The "rock" is adjacent to the popular Taylor Dock boardwalk in Fairhaven -- you can see it here

There's a very interesting interview with the artist in the latest issue of Cascadia Weekly. I think he deserves to be rewarded for creating such a beautiful work for the public.
