Cruel Joke

We woke to snow on Saturday October 29th. This is crazy!! They say we could get up to 10 inches. Well that is what they were saying in the morning. It really looks pretty and the dogs love it but it is just too early for snow. Yesterday we were up north and hiking with light jackets. Even though we had snow there overnight it warmed up nicely during the day. Now we are home and it is snowing like crazy. We lost a Peach tree because the snow is so heavy. We were going out every 2 hours shaking the fruit trees off. We heard trees falling over in our woods while we were out. There are too many leaves still on the trees they can't take the weight of all the snow. Eleven in the morning the power goes out not flicker they go out. Living where we live it isn't a good sign for your power to go out in a storm like this. The last storm (Hurricane Irene) our power was out for 4 or 5 days. Only time will tell how long this will last and how much snow we will get.
