Simon's Feet

Simon is having a 'no shoes November' to raise money for Christian Aid. Loads of people don't have even shoes and think about how many you've got...

Today has been very long, i got up for a Revive team meeting (with bacon sandwiches) at 9 and then spent a while in the kitchen with Sarah writing up some notes and nattering... After lunch i went to choir and to lidl and around 4 i went to help cook for the CU meal this evening.

Started with chopping 17 onions and due to the hold cold water in your mouth trick only cried once at number 9, managed to pull it back together again though! I wasn't expecting it to work as well as that!
Almost 6 hours later after a heck of a lot of frying, mixing, stirring and various rice related nightmares, after at least 100 people had eaten and we'd then done a load of scrubbing (elbows greased to the max for the burnt pan bottoms) and washing and drying and tidying... i realised the time and thought, wow, that's pretty mental. But it was fun at the same time!

Now though i'm absolutely shattered... time for bed alone in my house for the first time. It'll be ok though, and if i get too scared at least 3 people have said to me i can call them and go stay at theirs!!
