The instruments of European democracy

I'm at a conference in the European Parliament premises and I was feeling a bit stuck for an interesting blip since I've been stuck indoors more or less all day. Then I spied the microphone, the headphones and the card voting machine and thought they'd make an interesting composition if brought together and seen as the essential instruments of democracy in a multi lingual parliament that uses a more efficient vote counting mechanism than two voting lobbies (the ayes to the right etc) and human, fallible, tellers.

Back there again tomorrow. Not sure what inspiration I can find for another day...
