Even though I have never lived in this house or even this city, visiting my parents always feels like coming home. The art on the walls, the books on the shelves, the keepsakes and heirlooms recall the familiar framework of my life. I feel twelve years old again.

Even Mom and Dad are the same, yet different, older in that frightening way that eats at a child's denial.
