La Bomba de tiempo
I went early to the orphanage today so that I could make La Bomba which started at 8pm. I pretty much spent the day teaching Rocio English and playing at the Plaza and before I knew it, it was time to leave.
I had to rush home and quickly change and get dinner. Alexia and I decided to attempt to get there by bus. So far we've been pretty flukey with the complex bus system and again tonight we managed to flag down a bus last min and get there on time!
It was perfect timing as we met everyone else at the door. We headed straight for the bar where we were served litre cups of beer :) You had to finish your drink before joining the crowd in front of the stage and by that time the band was starting. La Bomba is a percussion night and is it so impressive! There are different conductors who improvise using random hand signals to create the most amazing music.
For me it turned into a slightly drunken night as we headed to the after party when the show ended. We went to a bar recommended by the psychologist at my work and there I saw the worst comedian of my life! This is most likely why I ended up drinking so much! Despite this it was such a cool night!
