Euphorbia raindrops
I snapped this on my way out of the front garden this morning. The raindrops were perfect silver beads on the leaves and I couldn't walk past them without stopping to take a picture, even though I was running a wee bit late. Rest assured, I managed to get to my desk on time via a train and tube combo, which was different to my original plan of catching a bus. However, the traffic was at a standstill at the bottom of the road due to temporary traffic lights (a commuter's bane). The bicycle stayed indoors (this cycle commuter doesn't do rainy cycle commutes if she can help it).
A good day at work with lots of positive thinking and moving things forward. I'm amazed I didn't fall asleep at my desk, though, considering Whisky woke me up three times in the early hours playing with a dead mouse, a live mouse that I then rescued, and then a dead mouse (which could have been the first dead mouse that I'd evicted into the garden, or the rescued mouse who hadn't moved fast enough into safety after I'd placed it into the hedge - I hope it was the former).
As a bonus, this morning I was gifted a free skirt from Nicola Quilter, which was a very lovely surprise indeed. I bought a couple of skirts (one's a Christmas present - thanks mum!) and three arrived!
