flat as a pancake

We are about to run a new sea survival course at College. This involves a pool session where we launch, inflate and board a life-raft or two. This one was actually used by a ship's crew that sank off south Wales earlier this year. After the crew were picked up (all well) it was donated to us. The inside of the raft is a real mess and everything they say about sea sickness in life-rafts is clearly true! I think I better get a pressure washer on it tomorrow.
