Ramblas

We bade a reluctant farewell to Barcelona today after a thoroughly enjoyable short break.

There wasn't much time to hang around, but we were still able to soak up the sun on Las Ramblas for a short while on a lovely summery morning. Mrs DK is pictured enjoying the day.

Later, at the airport, it was a nice surprise to bump into my old colleague Sally Munro. It really is a small world!

This was the second time we had visited Barcelona. The first time we went we were slightly disappointed. This time, though, we've enjoyed discovering a city full of surprises and variety - and we've already decided to go again.

I'm now back in cold, dreary, grey Bristol. Hmmmm.

The weather was distinctly mixed in Spain, but the more times we go over there the less we like coming back. I think one day we'll just stay for good.
