Big Bugs

Look closely, those are Giant Willow Aphids multiplying on the trunk of the young willow in my back garden. I'd never seen them before, and they are enormous (as aphids go) - up to 4mm or more. And when disturbed they all waggle their legs in the air. The stuff of nightmares, close up.

Last night dreamt of lean, sleek foxes running in twos and threes through woodland. What does that mean, I wonder?

Haven't been taking may photos just lately, preoccupied with work, trying to get a new web-based mapping and biological recording system to work, building an online database, and other stuff. Feeling very stressed with it all.

Every two weeks meeting up with guitarist and drummer to practice some ska tunes (still without a singer). Slowly getting better.
