I had so much fun being Miles' mom today. I have fun everyday...but today was really special. This morning when I dropped him off at school he really showed off for Mom, crawling around the room finding his favorite toys and then crawled to our 'family board' where there are pictures of Miles and his family. He patted on the picture of him and me and Mitch. It's crazy to think that he can recognize us in pictures. The teachers says he frequently checks out his family board during the day.

Then when I picked him up, I saw him laughing and playing with his friends through the door of the classroom and when he caught glimpse of me, he practically ran toward the door (the crawling equivalent of running). When I picked him up he giggled and hugged me.

We picked up Mitch and then went to the grocery store, where Miles and dada marveled at all the lights and bright colored food. A quick dinner at home and then off to play upstairs, where he was so happy to cruise around his playroom, crawled with mom and dad around the upstairs, and laughed at his brother Hurley playing fetch. A quick bottle before dinner, said goodnight to his lights, read his favorite book and then off to sleep.

Sorry for the play by play, but I just want to remember today.

PS. Miles also wanted to wish his Grandma Soukup in Nebraska a Happy Birthday!!
