Mother Nature's Fireworks

On the Fourth of July in Bend, Oregon, USA we have a fireworks display that takes place on Pilot Butte. It is an exciting half hour--the sky is lit up with wonderful fireworks. It is one of our favorite evenings!

The middle of my blooming Thanksgiving cactus reminds me of some of those beautiful fireworks. It is just beginning to bloom, and I love the delicate flowers, but the inside "fireworks" are just amazing!
