Boarding at Gate 1

The smallest civil airport in the world and the shortest scheduled flight - 2 minutes. Although it has been done in 50 something seconds!
This is Papa Westray Airport - Gate 1.
The flight goes to Westray on the other side of about 2000 yards of sea. Two flights a day six days a week in the summer. Also they turn the plane round (literally) in 7 minutes, passengers off, new passengers on and away. Makes Ryanair look dead slow.
Papay is intriguing, clinging to a barely sustainable community of less than one hundred on an island 4 miles by 1 mile.
