Closed Encounter

The "closed road" from "the old A1" up to Biel Mill, by Dunbar. Nature is reclaiming the road season by season after it was closed many years ago. It was actually pretty much blocked today by a large holly branch, so I cut that off with the pruning saw I usually carry. Yes, I do.

This is nice Large.

What a beautiful but cold day. I went out on the singlespeed cyclocross bike at lunchtime, along the road to Tynefield then along the John Muir Way to Knowes Farm. Over the railway footbridge, up the closed road and across the field road at Biel Estate. Down to Tynefield again and around Tyninghame Bay to the woods and home.
