Kurban Bayram
Today I celebrated Kurban Bayram? with Elcin's family, which is the most important celebration in Islam. In these days people sacrifice sheep, which are symbolic for the son that Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice to God.
Apart from that during these days people get together, visit relatives, eat a lot and have a good time :-)
I am very glad to celebrate these days in a village in order to get a better idea of Turkish culture and traditions (more about that later ;-)).
P.S.: No, I wasn't capable of watching how they slit the sheep's throat, but I watched how they cut it into pieces...yummy.
P.P.S.: The picture was taken at one of the two lakes we visited today-very gorgeous places!
