a head for heights
i hadn't expected to see this chap (or chapess?) sitting high up on a lampost this afternoon.
another thing i like about the location of our new house is that not only are we only 800metres from the beach in one direction, in the other direction we're a half an hour or so walk from beautiful Rose Bay. Rose Bay is a bay (surprise, surprise) on Sydney Harbour. It's a lovely little suburb. It is home to an off leash area where dogs can also swim in the harbour, so I imagine we'll be frequent visitors as megs loves a wet stick and a paddle!
i walked megs down today to see how long it took to walk to the ferry wharf. if i get a job near Circular Quay (where the Opera House is), i'll have the option to train it from Bondi Junction, or to catch the ferry from Rose Bay. i only realised the ferry option existed a couple of days ago! i think it'd be a pretty nice way to start the day...sailing around towards Harbour Bridge and past the Opera House before work. the options seem pretty equidistant.
i'm sure i'll blip Rose Bay, it's yachts, kayaks, SUPs and seaplanes sometime soon... for now though, meet Pelly.
