Crane
I quickly sneaked across to Lyttleton for lunch today.
There was a really interesting light for some reason, and it was an ideal day to shoot. Light, ships, and calm water.
This was one of my last shots. I really liked it as the crane mirrored the container carrier, and the cool colours.
In the background is Mt Herbert, the highest point at 920m on Banks Peninsular, sporting the remnants of yesterdays snow storm.
Interestingly, Mt Herbert tricked Captain Cook all those years ago. He thought this was an island by neglecting to come close enough to see it was linked to the mainland by the Canterbury Plains. Goodness, where was his GPS ...
BTW, just back blipped the last several days. Computer issues.
