Into oblivion.
Impromptu visit to the west today.
My mother who is just a couple of months shy of her 80th birthday, but who insists on dashing about like a 50 year old, took a header in Glasgow Central Station on Friday morning. She dislocated her shoulder, chipped her collar bone, sustained a gash in her head that required 7 stitches, and got a very respectful black eye. All in all it wasn't her finest hour. My brother lives nearby, so he's been doing the main caring duties - but today I went through to help.
This is a thoroughfare in Greenock that serves as a metaphor for the decline in the shipbuilding industry on the Clyde - but that's a story for another day!
