carpetbiter1 finally left the comfort of granny's and went for a riding lesson. i am used to not being allowed to watch so found an immensely muddy lane in order to break in my new and very clean walking boots. carpetbiter2 patted the stables dog who retained a wise wariness about small kids.

later i found a fine knitting wool shop and carpetbiter2 and i made some of our very own felt.

this is me and carpetbiter1 making a puppet show about two rabbits in the reflection of one of granny's saucepans - it's the pan we use to make hot chocolate in when it's been a couple of hours since the last meal and we find we're not feeling completely stuffed any more so have to fill ourselves up again...
