Castle Hill Peak
At 1997m (6553ft) Castle Hill Peak is a little higher than the other main peaks of the Torlesse Range. Here the mountain rises above the long grey foothill that is not getting any sunshine. As you can see most of yesterday's snow has melted.

For those who like to see faces in mountains this part of the range is known as The Sleeping Beauty. I prefer to just see the mountains.
This afternoon the temperature rose well into the 20s and the sunshine was burning hot. After days of bitter cold it was quite a contrast.
