no bonfires ...

... sparklers or fireworks here. It's the first time the arrival of my birthday (Nov 6) has not been heralded by a grateful nation in full pyrotechnic celebration.

Fleur cooked up some chilli beef today at cooking class. When we came home, the others had gone out to a play park , so we cycled round the neighbourhood. There was a ladies' rugby match on that we watched for a while, but sadly for posterity I forgot my camera.

This, then was the emergency photo taken around 5pm before the sun went in. Tomorrow, I will wake up another year older (but any wiser?) ...
