Guy Fawkes in Carnoustie 2011

Today is Guy Fawkes and our first one in Scotland, we've been watching this bonfire grew higher and higher since yesterday, which has been quite exciting. Aiden and I took a walk over to get a closer look this afternoon and were lucky to be kindly invited within the restricted area by one of the nice local coastguards just so I could take a photo.

What a lovely atmosphere it was tonight, there was a torch parade; loads of people carrying torches who met at a local school and made their way to the bonfire which was then lit and the fireworks began - it was lovely.

I knew it would be difficult to get a decent photo once it was alight because my point-n-shoot doesn't do 'night shots' very well, so thought a 'before' photo would do....don't you just love the 'Guys'?
