Lion's ear!

Another trip to Winchester for B to run day 3 of the course. We travelled down yesterday and had an early start this morning.

I spent the morning shopping in Winchester and the afternoon at Hinton Ampner, a National Trust property. The house was beautiful and the gardens incredible for this time of year.

I took load of pictures of flowers, but have blipped this one as it is new to me. It must look magnificent when in full bloom, bright orange, standing about 1.5 metres high.

We have something similar in the garden which has yellow flowers, but a mass of leaves at the base, this is bare stemmed at soil level.
