Thirty three years after joining, Angus left the building for the last time. I doubt he'll be back. He has his life long membership ticket for the Waverley. Aye, it was just a wee regional Bank in those days before it soared like a rocket. And as good old Hugh MacDiarmid said of something quite different, it cam doon like the stick.
So I chummed him round to the Antiquary and a goodly throng did gather round to talk of the old times. And before long the saintly Chas did appear and brought forth then Glenrothes Special Reserve. And we nosed it and saw it was good. And on the palate it was mixed peel and lo, the finish was long. And fekk me, Angus had legged it!
