Erie Canal Rose

Possibly wild! these have been here for at least thirty years but are threatened by careless mowing and chopping and herbicide use by the State Canal Corporation. The latter is probably illegal because the Canal flows into a drinking water supply but a little bit of herbicide never hurt anyone except..... Of course no one should get stuck by a thorn so mowed grass is the order.
