Waiting

Two characters from David Roberts' lithograph "The Pool of Bethesda". In 1839 he painted about 20 views of Jerusalem and its Biblical sites. Sometimes Roberts, with his fast sketching on the spot style, seems more a photographer than a scenery painter.
