Nexxus Life Science Awards
Last night I attended the Nexxus life science awards where our companies product was nominated for Innovative Product of the for the East Coast of Scotland. The awards were held within the stunningly beautiful Playfair Library of Edinburgh University and 300 guests were in attendance. The evening was opened by a short speech by Prof Sir Ian Wilmut or more commonly known in households as the creator of Dolly the sheep the worlds first cloned animal (he is lurking in bottom left of the blip).
We were up against Eulysis who make in specialised devices for pharmaceutical, nutritional, diagnostic and cosmetic applications.
And
Holoxia who deliver a range of 3D solutions for industry. They had also just picked up the collaboration award and were obviously respected by the judging panel.
However, despite the quality of their products our product was chosen as the most innovative product. The lighting was terrible and the professional photographer was stood in font of where I sat so didn't get a good pic of the boss collecting the trophy.
