It's Not Summer Yet!

This morning as I was hanging out my washing in a nor'west gale I was surprised to see how little snow was left on the mountains. However, within minutes the clouds had descended. Nor'westers are usually warm and dry. The washing will dry in an hour or two. This one was bitterly cold and it delivered two or three week's rain in a few hours. When the clouds lifted briefly in the afternoon the scene had changed dramatically. Compare with yesterday.
