It snowed again

While snow is not rare this time of year in Denver, we have had rather late first snow falls in 2008 and 2010. 2009 was a reminder however that winter can make a big first arrival in Denver.

Looking back on 2008 and 2010 Its easy to get use to autumn lingering into November without almost a foot of heavy wet snow falling in 2 separate storms in a week. Nothing like the east coast but still a pain. The moisture is great but most of the winter interest in the garden is smashed and the leaves are not so brilliant after a low of 12 this morning.
