In Between Days

Day off work so took the kids to school. It's all change in the playground with new rules for going into class. It was a good job the kids were there to help me out. Louis told me where to stand to wave so that he would walk past me. We high fived as he passed. If the new head saw it I would probably be in trouble.

Finally got a bike ride in. It was strangely unfamiliar riding my Bowery which shows how long it's been. I only did about 25 miles tops but will ache a bit in the next few days. Saddle was a pain in the backside, quite literally! Need more miles on it. I took a ride along the most scenic route I could think of. I headed out via Womersley to Pollington and back via Eggborough. I have to say the scenery that way out is a little bleak. The photo is of the church in Hensall and the wall where I sat and had a little rest.

Alana's meeting with her teachers went really well. She is doing super and with a little encouragement and some work, should do well this year. Let's hope so.

They both had a disco at school today. This involves a change of clothes and some pop and crisp money. Alana was a bit astonished that Louis drank cola. She had cherryade because she thought we wouldn't allow her cola. Louis just chose what he wanted. Different personalities. Louis brought a smile to our faces with his 3 glow sticks attached to his trouser loops. He thought they looked brilliant. I thought so too.
