Macarons
I went to a macaron and chocolate workshop this morning, organized through Th's school, because I haven't been eating enough sweet things lately...! It was at the kitchens of Gérard Mulot in the 13th arrondissement and the pâtissier chocolatier who met with us was the winner of the meilleur jeune ouvrier de France competition, a 23 year-old wizz-kid chocolate maker, in other words. We sampled the batch of raspberry macarons being made here and some delicious grapefruit ones too. I walked a long way afterwards to the library and got some good work done there. The kids were happy with their days back at school so it was a good day, all in all, despite the rain.
