When is a bridge not a bridge?

When it's a listed building!!

No, honestly, I promise I'm being serious! I was trying to find some information about this bridge near to where I live and found out that it is in fact a listed building! Apparently, although the list consists mainly of buildings, other structures such as bridges, monuments, sculptures, war memorials, and even milestones and mileposts and the Beatles' Abbey Road pedestrian crossing are also listed.

The bridge was built in 1841 and widened in 1930. The central panel to each side contains a pair of lions rampant flanking thistle, rose and shamrock motifs. The bridge was closed to regular passenger traffic on 1 October 1951.
