No fish were harmed in the making of this picture!
Oh Lord I Pray
That I may catch
A fish so big that even I
When talking of it afterwards
May never need to Lie
Today spent a lovely day with Peter Arfield from the Bakewell Fishingshop being indoctrinated into the art of fishing Czeck nymphs.
I've never fished like this before and picked up some valuable tips without actually attempting this style of fishing.
I fished dry fly and caught nothing, Pete fished Czeck style and caught 2 grayling that included this one of 16" which he was very chuffed with as its a big grayling for the Derbyshire Wye.
The grayling is a lovely looking fish notice its tartan coloured dorsal fin. It's known as 'the lady of the stream'.
