Artwork

Unfortunately...I was stuck in the big city (Flint) all day. Flint is not a city where you get out and take a nice long walk. So... I decided to go to the library. Before I got there I saw a billboard advertising a quilt display at the Art Institute next door.
I "framed" my day to go there, also.

I made my way to the front desk. 7 dollars to see the quilts. 7 bucks!! I decided to start charging people 1 dollar to come into my family room to see the quilts my mother made us. 2 dollars to cover up with one. Seems fair.

I took the free tour of the Art Institute. I asked if I could take pictures. They told me I could if I would prick my finger, and sign my name in blood. I also had to wear a photographer sticker to show that I had been cleared. No flash, and no posting on the Internet.

The flowery piece of artwork was hanging from the ceiling. It was a little eerie standing underneath it. It made you appreciate both the artist, and the engineer who put it up. I didn't see any explanation of the piece or the artist...so I thought it was safe to post.

I kept my picture-taking sticker on when I went into the library. I added Naional Geographic on the tag...hoping to impress somebody. Using some bad English..."Didn't nobody ask me nothing."
