Forever Delayed

A few years ago a row of shops, bars and restaurants near the centre of Birmingham were demolished to make ways for some newer shops, bars and restaurants.

At some point during all this a series of hoardings were erected around the site that showed the sort of people that would frequent such a place: dynamic young professionals, women delighted to be shopping for groceries and this particularly nauseating couple of diners (why is she stealing his courgettes? has he never used chopsticks before? who and what are they grinning at?)

Work on the new shops,bars and restaurant never started and the site was eventually used as a car park. Gradually and unsurprisingly, many of the characters were beheaded.
