Notebooks for sorrow, notebooks for pain

I took a picture of some of my notebooks this morning.

Notebooks come in batches - these are some I used when I was doing my PhD. They're A5s - but I have also dealt in A4 and also in Moleskines of different sizes - all stored away for the British Library to catalogue at some point!

I was reminded of the line 'cards for sorrow, cards for pain' - this is from the Rocky Horror song 'I'm going home'. Every notebook has its place.
