Thistle Down

The Rainbow

So beautiful is the rainbow,
Draped across the sky.
After the rain has ceased its flow,
Clearing the vapors where mist forms lie.

Filmed in the clouds is a castle high,
Arching far into the east.
O come with your eyes ever glowing,
A moment...and then it has ceased.

For there is wonder in looking,
And the colors are blending and warm.
The thunder is racing the sky-ways,
Sending its fearful alarm.

O the rainbow, the rainbow, the rainbow,
To see it...my heart fills with glee.
Stretched in a veil of high columns,
In that fantasy realm...that I see.

O the magic...my vision doth lend me,
In a band of rare colors...in light.
Spread like a colonnade to heaven,
and beholding in awe...such a sight.
