Walked through the park this morning, and passed the bowling green.
This man was concentrating very hard to get the perfect stripes on the grass.
Probably the last cut this year.

This is our local Crown Green Bowling Club.

A crown green is a square lawn slightly higher in the middle than at the edges, and play is conducted all over the lawn in any direction.Making for a great deal more variety than the flat green game.

Played mainly in the North of England.

Watching the multiple games occuring in all directions at once across a crown green bowling lawn is a spectating experience worth seeking out!
