Three ships
Sunset this afternoon. I was catching the departure of a large ship sailing out of the harbour into a golden sun (also a great light picture) I spun around to check how the light was falling eastwards into the harbour.
The eastern sky which later brought warm rain was just as it shows here, the contrasty brilliant light raking along the Victoria Quay berths was just as it shows here. The Passenger Terminal, the long yellow building in the distance was "flashed" and in a matter of seconds the light had softened, the ships subdued.
Looking westward at the bright golden sky you would not believe it is even the same day - let alone the same time. I may link to some other images of this brief moment.
