Shanghai in the rain

Hasn't stopped chucking it down all day but I had to get out the hotel for a walk and something to eat.

If you like shopping for designer labels in sizes ranging from extra small to medium then there's nowhere like here.

I ate lunch in what must be one of the oldest vegetarian restaurants anywhere. It was established in 1922 and has been going ever since. I had soup called "Buddha jumps over the wall" which translates to mushroom and various tree fungi. You can see why they went for the poetic option.
