Barbirolli

This is the bust of Sir John Barbirolli outside the front entrance of the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. Barbirolli was the conductor of Manchester's Hallé Orchestra from 1943 to 1970. I went to see the Hallé lots when I was younger but by the time I started going to concerts Barbirolli had died and had been succeeded by James Loughran.
