The American

Here's a picture of my uncle (who never played for Red Star Belgrade). See yesterday's blip.

He is the 'keeper and played professionally in Greece and for the Cyprus national team. He was always called The American because he was tall and bronzed and for some reason Cypriots in the 1940s thought that's what Americans looked like. He is in his late 80s now and is still known as O Amerikanos.
