bondi dusk
not the greatest capture in the world, but a lovely walk along the beach this evening as the sun went down. good to have a wee donder with the camera while M took the sporty option and went for a run. it's been a busy couple of days and i decided that a run wasn't on the cards today. i'll save myself for tomorrow's surf.
we headed to the quarantine to visit megsie today but absolutely gutted to drive the hour, arrive, and discover it was 'closed due to bomb threat'. boooooo. it would have been the first time we'd seen her together, and only the second time M's been able to visit. will have to wait til thursday now. however, she's paroled on saturday! as far as i know the quarantine kennel is still there....
more flatpack building today (well, on M's part) and the house is really coming together. i'll perhaps blip it sometime. so lovely to live so close to the beach and to be able to wander around barefoot on a mild evening.
Melbourne Cup today - i was in the CBD this morning (follow up to yesterday) and there were mobile betting stands in Martin's Place, absolutely rammed with business people who'd clearly nipped out of the office to place a bet. Betting is such an enormous thing here, and they go wild for the Melbourne Cup so it seems!
