Charmed

Superstitious? Me? Hardly.

I am, however, naively optimistic. Repeatedly.

Some people go out of their way to make the lives of others awkward, difficult, or even impossible. I am just amazed they can be bothered. It's less effort to just be nice.

But every time I encounter it, I fall for it anew. The daft assumption that I can rely on people to do "the right thing" is slapped about the head a bit by the repeated realisation that people seem to enjoy causing misery instead.

But, I type this now... knowing that tomorrow I will awaken and start the whole darn process again. I never learn.

I am not sure if that means the charms work or not...
