Workaholic

The good mood is officially back!! I was very glad to be back at work, the moment I was behind my desk my boss came in to talk about the planning :) and I will be busy till next year, and I will like it!!!! :) really!!!!

Of course after a week of doing virtually nothing I was a little bit rusty, or maybe a little bit overconfident, so I started this big experiment but didn't think it through and ended up finishing pretty late :) I knew I missed my train home so I grabbed the camera and started making pictures in the lab :)

Have been wanting to make this picture for a while, but didn't know how... I have been taking pictures in the lab before and was always annoyed by things in the background (it's a pretty busy lab). And I don't really know if I'm allowed to take pictures at the lab, so I always feel really rushed... I left the lab not feeling very pleased with the pictures I took :(

But now I'm home, I really like this picture! It is a picture of the microscope I use very often. People tend to think I spend my days behind one of these, but that is not true, luckily! I use it daily, but mostly just for a few seconds every time.

During the years I went to school to become the fabulous laboratory technician that I am now I avoided microscopes.. It was hard for me to use them as they gave me mayor headaches (I needed glasses, I know that now) and I cannot use them properly...
Even today I only use the right ocular (observent people will have noticed that they are not on the same height), I don't know how, but appearantly I have learned to switch of my left eye, I don't use it at all.. When I try to use both eyes, all I see are my eyelashes.... and that can't be right, now can it? :)

I also like the fact that I see a smiley face in this picture, but that is just me I guess :)
