Ring

I thought I would celebrate Halloween with a tribute to what I think is the ultimate horror film.

I reckon that if you are relying on violence and gore to make a film scary then your film isn't very scary. Ring therefore has to be the ultimate horror film since it has no violence, no gore and almost no horror. There is just a creepy eerieness that pervades the whole film so that the horror, when it does come, is so terrifying that I literally did not sleep for a week after watching it. It was another two weeks before I could go to the toilet in the middle of the night without fear that Sadako would come out and get me on the way.

I know that the carpet is pretty horrifying on its own..
