The final day of woollyhedge's On This Day in October Challenge relates to the introduction of zebra crossings in 1951.

I can only think of 3 zebra crossings in Street and none of these is particularly photogenic; however, the appearance of numerous ghostly apparitions on the doorstep this evening provided plenty of black and white opportunities.
