Six Years Later

The 2002 Big Elk Fire took the lives of three pilots, one in a helicopter during mop up exercises and the other two in a WWII slurry bomber that failed when one of its wings fell off. It's been raining most of the day today so the fog and greenness are evident. If only the jeep, parked off the road in the tall grass, hadn't had an overheated muffler that day...charges were never filed.
