Skool daze

Saw that the National Theatre in London is putting on Juno and the Paycock, the fabulous Sean O'Casey play that I (and I'm sure many others) studied at school. I just loved it, saw it performed twice as a teenager and wrote several earnest essays.

This got Karen and I talking about our favourite school studies, the books that have stayed with us for years. It's hard to see past 'The Great Gatsby' which I could re-read year after year.

And thanks to Mrs Barclay, who introduced me to all these fabulous stories, good teachers can really make a difference.
