We planted some very expensive pumpkin seeds back in April with a view to reaping the rewards at Hallo'een - the competion was on among a trio of would-be gardening experts ranging in age from 3 to ... (well that's a secret) for the biggest and best example!

The scene today in the veg patch - 3 plants, 4 million flowers, 3 almosts (that dropped off when they hit golf ball size!).

Never again - now scouting around for freebie seeds from the shop-bought versions for next year's attempt.
